About us
The German Association for negative Emissions (DVNE) is the largest national association for carbon dioxide removal (CDR) in the EU. As a coordinating platform, we are actively building Germany’s CDR industry. We bring companies together, convene relevant stakeholders and build knowledge. Our goal: to strengthen climate action, create jobs and secure economic value creation.
Your responsibilities
End-to-end event management
- Full project ownership: You plan, manage and deliver our established event formats from A to Z. These include, for example, our Annual Reception, the CDR Experience Tour, parliamentary breakfasts, networking events, our lecture series, team offsites, webinars and more.
- Budget responsibility: You calculate costs, manage budgets and negotiate contracts with service providers and venues.
- Cross-functional coordination: You work hand in hand with our policy experts, who help you identify the right topics and invite the right stakeholders. You also provide our communications expert with all relevant information for our external communications.
- Measuring success: You are responsible for participant management, on-site delivery, structured follow-up and KPI analysis.
Format development & innovation
- Developing new event formats: You proactively develop innovative event and community concepts from the initial idea through to implementation, continuously expanding our event portfolio.
Visibility & external events
- Platform scouting: With you on board, we want to increase our visibility not only through our own events, but also at events hosted by others. You identify the relevant stages and formats in Berlin where DVNE should be present and make sure we become an active part of them.
- Speaker & panel placement: You place our experts on panels and keynote stages.
What you bring
- Extensive experience in event management, ideally within Berlin’s political, association or corporate environment.
- A proven track record of successfully organising a variety of event formats.
- Outstanding organisational skills.
- The ambition to deliver first-class events.
- Creativity and an eye for detail, even in stressful situations.
- Excellent German and English.
- An appetite for a start-up environment and the opportunity to help us continue building our association.
What we offer
- Modern ways of working: A hybrid remote culture with flexible working hours.
- Compensation: €55,000 + 15% bonus (depending on fit and experience).
- Location: For this position, we prefer candidates based in or around Berlin. Our office is located here as well, where you will regularly meet our team members based across Germany.
- Benefits: Personal professional development budget, regular team events and offsites, Urban Sports Club membership and a Deutschlandticket.
